Overview:
Avado Learning’s OKR for the first half of 2020 was to improve the efficiency of the Learning Delivery and Quality Teams’ operations.
Solution:
As the only UX/UI designer in the company, I led the project with the help of other teams interested in UX and data analysis. We conducted surveys and interviews to identify the five most popular tasks the teams performed on the platform and their main frictions. I then designed dashboards to reduce time, clicks, and improve onboarding for new members. I validated the design through prototyping and user testing.
Impact:
The implementation of the changes would have resulted in time savings, improved task performance, and better onboarding experiences for new team members. Although the project was halted due to the company’s decision to move to another platform, the process of conducting UX research and data analysis was valuable in promoting a culture of UX and data-driven design within the organization.
Key takeaways:
- Conducted user research and data analysis, understanding user needs and improving their experience.
- Dashboards can significantly reduce time and improve task performance.
- Prototyped and user testing to validate design solutions.
- Promoted a culture of UX and data-driven design that had a positive impact on the organisation.
